Session on Drug Menace and Mobile Phone Addiction
HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Directorate POF arranged a session on “Dugs Menace and Mobile Phone Addiction” at Wah Medical College on 16th of May 2019. This session was in-line with the directive of the Chairman POF board and a part of the mitigation strategy of HSE Directorate. A large number of students, nurses, staff and faculty of Wah Medical College attended the session. Station Commandant Brigadier Khurram Shahzad graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The main talk delivered by Dr. Attique Raza of ‘Positive Solutions’ highlighted the alarming increase in drug addiction among the youth. He motivated the audience to live a healthy, purposeful life so that it can be easy to fight the menace of drugs and other addictions. Mrs. Maria Zeb an environmental consultant at HSE Directorate talked about the ways to fight addiction and the factors leading to various addictions. The session ended with a very informative question and answer session.
